It was fantastic to have so many families visit us on our prospective Parents Open-Evening yesterday. Both sites were buzzing with fun activities, questions and answers and lots of clear reasons given about why Enfield Grammar School is the best place for boys to come and get an all-round quality education and have lots of fun along the way.
We want our boys to remember their school days fondly, and remember the staff that work in the school as adults that know them and care for them. Every conversation is an intervention; every correction follows a connection and every boy is allowed to be themselves.
We’ve got lots of families visiting us over the next few weeks to see us in action, as choosing a school is an important decision and Open-Evenings are just a glimpse of what a school is really like.
If you couldn’t make the evening and would like a tour with your Year 5 or Year 6 son then please contact the Headteacher, Mr Lamb, at [email protected].
Come and see what we’ve got to offer; we think you’ll be impressed.
We’ve put together a few images of before and during the evening and must give a special mention to:
Football Fixtures this week…
Here is your round-up for the month of September….

Watch out for the monthly updates to see how your House is performing….
What position will your house be in at the end of October??

Guided tours will be taking place throughout the evening on both sites. Small group tours will be accompanied by students who will be happy to answer your questions and tell you about their journey at Enfield Grammar School.
Refreshments will be available from FEGS.
The Headteacher’s speeches will take place at the Upper School Site at:
Lower School Site – Parsonage Lane, EN1 3EX

Last weekend saw our #DofE Silver cohort go off to the south coast. This time, instead of camping, they experienced staying in bunked self-catering accommodation which, having use of a kitchen, allowed them to show off some of their cooking skills. The weather, luckily brightened up for them and, although very windy, was nice and dry. They experienced some beautiful scenery hiking 10-15 miles each day carrying their kit.
The boys were brilliant! It’s lovely to be able to spend time with these students in a non-school environment; camaraderie, bonding, supporting each other, having fun, learning and experiencing the beauty of the great outdoors in England…….. we’re all set for our Qualifying Silver Expedition to the Peak District later this month……
