	Mr N Churcher Link Role: Sixth Form	I am delighted to be able to serve as a Governor at Enfield Grammar School, which my two sons attend. I have over 20 years in the construction industry and I am currently Commercial Director of the West London & Thames Valley Region of a national developer. 	Ms P Brown Link Role: Re History	Having worked for 15 years within secondary schools, my son has now started at Enfield Grammar School. 	Mr D Normand Link Role: MFL Geography	I have a Banking and Finance career spanning 32 years, which will bring a multitude of skills that I can transfer easily into the work of school governance. I bring experience of running, leading and planning large teams within areas of Business, Personal and Digital Banking. am presently the Sports Manager of a local football club and have experience working on sport association committees and have football coaching experience within adult and youth sports clubs covering 25 years. 	Mrs B Sumsion Link Role: Careers English & Literacy	I have applied to be a parent governor for a number of reasons. As a parent of a boy in the school I have an interest in the welfare and education of, not only my son but also other pupils that attend the school. Being a parent places you in a position to experience and be familiar with the challenges that the boys face, from both an educational and social perspective. This vested interest drives my ambition to implement comprehensive, whole-school digital strategies that enhance cyber security and foster a forward-thinking educational environment. 	Mr P Riddell Independent	I am a freelance consultant specialising in the field of diversity, equality, and inclusion. I currently work for Axis HR Consulting providing guidance for public and private sector organisations in the area of social policy development to ensure they are compliant with current equality legislation and best practice. I have lived in Enfield for over 50 years, and I am a Board Member of the Beth Johnson Foundation which is a national charity dedicated to making the UK age friendly. All sub-committees have the following responsibilities:

• To receive reports from members of staff about matters relating to any of the issues listed in their terms of reference.
• To contribute to, monitor and evaluate relevant parts of the school’s self-evaluation or equivalent, the school development plan and the policies allocated to them, reporting or making recommendations to the full governing body.
• To consider recommendations from relevant external reviews for example audit, Ofsted or local authority review, to agree the actions needed to address any issues identified and to monitor and evaluate regularly the implementation of any plan agreed, reporting or making recommendations to the full governing body.
• To take appropriate action on any other relevant matter referred by the governing body

The Foundation Trustees

The Enfield Grammar School Foundation is a separate Trust governed by the Charity Commission and owns the land and buildings from which the Academy operates. Additionally, there are limited financial funds which are invested to provide an income which is used in the following ways:

• For the maintenance of those at School or for those going on to higher education.
• To enable travel in this country or abroad
• For the study of music or other arts and sciences
• To promote education for pupils and former pupils

There are 5 Foundation Trustees who are either Members or Trustees of the Academy

Members

Members sit above the board of trustees, similar to a company’s shareholders in relation to it’s board of directors. They are not involved in the day to day governance side but are there to ensure effective governance and can hold the trustee board to account. They meet once a year for the AGM.
