


2022 is the Year of the Tiger. The tiger is known to be king of all beasts in China and comes third in the Chinese zodiac. The qualities associated with the tiger are competitive, self-confident, brave, willpower and strength.
Students – head over to our Upper School library where Mrs Rudolph with the help of our Pupil Librarians has put up some decorations including posters designed by Berat, each with an interesting fact about the Chinese New Year.
Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, is the festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar and solar Chinese calendar
Celebrations traditionally last for 16 days, starting from Chinese New Year’s Eve (1st February 2022) to the Lantern Festival (15th February 2022).
The 12 animals consist of Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.
More specifically, 2022 is a Year of Water Tiger, starting from February 1st, 2022, and lasting until January 21st, 2023.
Recent/upcoming years of the Tiger are 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, and 2022.
Recent Parent Governor Elections
I am writing to inform you of the result of our Parent Governor Elections recently held.
Although it was a very close result between the nominees I am delighted to announce that the 2 following parents have been elected onto the Governing Board as Parent Governors:
