The Music Department was very pleased to hold an end of term Concert on Tuesday, 6th July.
Due to the rainy weather, this was moved from an outside venue at Lower School into the Main Hall where we welcomed an audience of Year 7 students.
This was our first live concert since February 2020 and our bands were so pleased to finally get back on stage! The bands were all year group based and have been rehearsing both online and at live rehearsals since the Autumn term. They all performed so well and really showed what hard work, commitment and love of music can do.
Thanks to every student who rehearsed and performed and to the tutors who have supported them.
Well that was close!
Luckily, Year 7 managed to miss the rain and thunder yesterday and were able to enjoy some well deserved reward activities.
Their Activity Day; #rockclimbing #archery #aeroball #lasertag.
Lovely to see the boys support and encourage each other.
Well done Year 7 for all you have achieved this year.
Another fascinating session with Holler UK during which our talented Y10 historians learned that Queen Hat-Shep-Sut was a powerful queen in Ancient Egypt who ruled alone for 20 years without a male Pharaoh. She also ruled peacefully.

The day will end in a big group performance, there will also be Q&As with the team to discuss life as a diverse-background musician
Yesterday, Year 9 were involved in a ‘Crime Awareness’ Workshop Day run by the award winning provider, ‘Impressionable Minds’.
In these workshops specific issues on crime were be discussed with the aim to raise awareness of topics that are relevant to young people.
In all cases and in all the workshops, appropriate and up to date advice and guidance was given with the central theme of the day to give our boys the awareness and skills to identify and avoid the dangers of criminal and anti-social behaviour.
