Black History Month ‘Cultural Celebration Event’

We are delighted to inform you that Enfield Grammar School will be hosting a Black History Month Cultural Event on Friday 17 October 2025 from 5pm – 9pm in the Main Hall at Upper School.

This will be a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the rich culture, history, and contributions of African and Caribbean heritage.

The evening will feature live music from our talented student bands (Steel Pan band, Cinematic Ensemble and Groove Band), artistic stalls, a fully licensed bar run by our Friends of Enfield Grammar and delicious food on sale.

Tickets will be available on ParentPay from today, priced at £6 per adult and £3 per child, which includes your first Rum Punch (over 18’s only) or soft drink.

To make the occasion even more special, we warmly invite parents and carers to take part by running stalls. If you create or sell Afro-Caribbean crafts, clothing, or cultural items, this is a fantastic opportunity to share your work with our school community.

In addition, we will be holding a raffle on the night to raise funds in support of our newly established enrichment programme and our music department. We kindly ask for donations of raffle prizes—these could include gift vouchers, hampers, books, or other suitable items. Any contribution, large or small, would be greatly appreciated.

We very much look forward to celebrating Black History Month together and hope you will join us in making this event a vibrant and memorable occasion for our students, families, and wider community.

We were delighted to have Tristian Morrison, alumni, visit our school today to deliver an assembly to our year 10 and 11 cohorts.

Tristian turned his life around from being arrested at the age of 14, to joining the police (earning accolades along the way), to now dedicating his time to empowering young people to make positive choices.

Friday Enrichment Sessions About to Launch!!

Students will soon be receiving an invitation email to sign up for one of our new sessions taking place every Friday afternoon. Every Y7 to 10 student must choose ONE session to attend, which we think will be a very enjoyable and uplifting way to end the week!

Parent Information Evenings for parents of current students will take place in the Main Hall at Upper School:

Tuesday 9th September 

  • Year 7 – 6- 6.45pm
  • Year 8 – 7- 7.45pm

Wednesday 10th September 

  • Years 9 & 10 – 6-6.45pm
  • Year 11 – 7-7.45pm

These sessions will include an overview of the academic year including key dates and an introduction to our new routines. There will also be an opportunity to meet your son’s tutor and the wider pastoral team.

GCSE Results Day 2025!

Enfield Grammar School is delighted to congratulate the outgoing Year 11 cohort on their excellent GCSE attainment. We are particularly pleased that a record 74% of students have secured grades 4 and above in both English and Maths, a pivotal achievement in opening doors to future success.

We are incredibly proud of how hard our students have worked towards their outcomes, be it the strings of top grades achieved by many or the excellent progress which reflects huge personal success for others, particularly when achieved in the face of challenging personal circumstances. So many of our students have truly embodied our school motto of “Tant Que Je Puis” (“As much as I can”). 

We are pleased to have begun enrolling both our own students and, now in our third year of accepting female applicants, we are offering a warm welcome to students from other schools. We have worked hard to make sure our Sixth Form offers students the very best chance of success:

Our excellent A Level results for 2025 put us in the top 25% of schools nationally and our collaboration with Enfield County School means we offer an unrivalled range of subjects.

All students joining us in Year 12 will be given a brand new Google Chromebook to support their studies.

A-Level Results Are In!!!

A-Level Results Day Press Release 2025

We are delighted to report that Enfield Grammar School A-Level students have achieved the highest recorded value added result. Students have worked hard to secure excellent grades with 37% achieving A* – B grades and over 70% securing A* – C grades. These  improved results means that over 70% of students secured their first choice for university admission.

Many of our students are looking forward to attending the best universities after securing their places on a variety of prestigious courses.

Congratulations!

We are incredibly proud of the achievements of all our students including the 10 students who achieved average grades of A*-A and also those for whom lower grades represent a significant personal success. We continually strive to ensure each student is able to give ‘As much as he can’ no matter what their starting point when they joins us; this mantra has served our students well. We wish all our students well as they strive forward in this ever-changing world and ask them to stay in touch to help those who follow them in the coming years.

We are pleased that our students have gained places at top universities and on higher apprenticeship schemes. All students have the option to enter their preferred route of career or further study. This ranges from university, to apprenticeships, to scholarships and the ‘world of work’.

Ezra Collective (Femi) Back In Enfield!

A few weeks ago we had a film crew from America come in to school with Femi from Ezra Collective filming for Vice. Here’s the video featuring Femi singing, or should I say drumming our praises, and of course his beloved teacher Malcolm.  It’s definitely worth a watch!
Femi is an inspiration for all the young potential musicians out there; follow your passion!
But also for those who have not yet picked up an instrument…do so, try it out!
If you’re coming to Enfield Grammar School in Year 7, you will be offered the opportunity to learn to play various instruments. Some of these opportunities will be thanks to Femi and TJ Koleoso who have given our music department 30 brand new trumpets and trombones!!….plus….Femi is covering the cost of one student to have individual lessons throughout his time at EGS…. 2025-26 is the year we can offer our new Ezra Scholarship! 
Femi is a truly humble, generous and brilliantly talented guy who has a deep rooted sense of being and of understanding the youth of today and the meaning of community.
