Sixth Form Open-Evening is Tuesday 11 November 2025 5.30-7.30pm for September 2026 admissions

Headteacher Presentation at 5.45pm and 6.45pm

In addition, this year we will be offering a series of short presentations about key considerations for Post-16 course selection, these will take place at the following times:

Medicine Pathways – 17.30-17.40 (Common Room)
Choosing the right subjects – 17.45-18.05 and 18.45-19.05 (Tudor Hall)
Vocational Pathways – 17.45-18.05 and 18.45-19.05 (Common Room)
A Level Alternatives – 17.30 and 18.30 (Tudor Hall)
STEM Pathways – 18.15 – 18.30 (Tudor Hall)
Capel Manor Courses – 18.15 – 18.30 (Common Room)
Apprenticeships – 19.15-19.30 (Common Room)
Thinking about “Oxbridge” – 19.15-19.30 (Tudor Hall)

Subject teachers and leaders will be available for you to meet with and discuss your son’s post-16 subject choices between 5.30pm until 7.30pm.

Celebrating Black History Month!

What a month it’s been! Celebrating and reflecting on black history and culture throughout the past 3 weeks including a focus on what pride and empowerment mean within our community, for everyone. Some of our events were:

  • Form time activities
  • Assemblies 
  • Cultural food 
  • Library Display
  • Cross-curricular “Voices of Pride and Power” focus 
  • A visit to the Houses of Parliament for a special screening of Romeo n Juliet 4EVA, (recently awarded Best Diaspora Film in Africa)
  • Student designed vibrant flags representing a wide range of countries and cultures 
  • BHM Reading Relay

Last week ended with an incredible celebration event of fantastic performances (our student steel pans!), DJ, food, and community celebration.

Wonderful feedback received:

I just wanted to thank you and all the staff involved for putting on such a wonderful event yesterday evening. The boys are still buzzing about it now!
As someone who teaches African history year round and has spent nearly 20 years in education, I’ve seen Black History Month be really poorly acknowledged.
This was honestly the most well planned and impactful celebration of this month that I’ve seen in any school.
I think the boys will remember it in years to come.

A massive thank you to all the staff who made a positive impact in delivering the BHM focus in such creative and interactive ways and a special thank you to Mr Obeng who led on the whole programme, with Ms Green and Ms Roberts who coordinated the finale event!

We hope the students enjoyed  it as much as we did and have increased knowledge and understanding around diversity and culture.

Together, we remain committed to celebrating diversity, honouring heritage, and inspiring every student to stand firm with pride and purpose.

Parents of Years 5 and 6 ………

Join us on Monday evening at Enfield Grammar School for our Prospective Parents Open Evening where you will have the opportunity to explore our school, meet our staff, and discover what it is like to be a student at our school.

Guided tours will be taking place throughout the evening on both sites. Small group tours will be accompanied by students who will be happy to answer your questions and tell you about their journey at Enfield Grammar School.

Refreshments will be available from FEGS.

The Headteacher’s speeches will take place at the Upper School Site at:

Black History Month ‘Cultural Celebration Event’

We are delighted to inform you that Enfield Grammar School will be hosting a Black History Month Cultural Event on Friday 17 October 2025 from 5pm – 9pm in the Main Hall at Upper School.

This will be a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the rich culture, history, and contributions of African and Caribbean heritage.

The evening will feature live music from our talented student bands (Steel Pan band, Cinematic Ensemble and Groove Band), artistic stalls, a fully licensed bar run by our Friends of Enfield Grammar and delicious food on sale.

Tickets will be available on ParentPay from today, priced at £6 per adult and £3 per child, which includes your first Rum Punch (over 18’s only) or soft drink.

To make the occasion even more special, we warmly invite parents and carers to take part by running stalls. If you create or sell Afro-Caribbean crafts, clothing, or cultural items, this is a fantastic opportunity to share your work with our school community.

In addition, we will be holding a raffle on the night to raise funds in support of our newly established enrichment programme and our music department. We kindly ask for donations of raffle prizes—these could include gift vouchers, hampers, books, or other suitable items. Any contribution, large or small, would be greatly appreciated.
