Year 13 update
I am writing to keep you updated on developments in Year 13. I am delighted to report that nearly all students who have submitted UCAS applications are now receiving offers and our target is to get all applications submitted before the end of term. If your son has not yet submitted his UCAS application, your assistance in ensuring that this is done before the end of term is greatly appreciated. Deadline for submission to UCAS is 15 January, but students do not return until the 8 January, leaving a small window of time to correct any issues and amend teacher references.
Key dates for Year 13 -reminders
Christmas fast approaches and we are making plans for this year’s Christmas lunch arrangements.
This is always popular with the students and in order to assist with catering requirements and queue management on the day we will be adopting the following process:
- A separate one off payment of £3.50 has been created on ParentPay specifically for Christmas Lunch.
- From the 3 December 2018, named tickets will be issued to all students that have made payment by the closing date of 23 November 2018.
We are organising a school trip to see a matinee performance of “School of Rock” on 17 January 2019 and all students in Years 7-9 are invited to apply for tickets. This is an imaginative and exciting musical production which may already be familiar from the film version. I am sure that everyone who attends will have a wonderful afternoon.
You are invited to attend the Enfield Grammar School Christmas Concert which will be held on Friday 7 December 2018 starting at 7.30pm. Our students will perform a variety of seasonal pieces in their many ensembles and bands and our audience will be invited to join in with a number of traditional Christmas Carols.
Payment via ParentPay for the Christmas Concert is now closed. Tickets can still be purchased by email to cpenfold@enfieldgrammar.org
