18th May – Year 7 vs Dame Alice Owens – lost by 102 runs
19th May – Year 8 vs Mossbourne Academy – tied game 41-10 EGS won on run rate
20th May – Year 9 vs Merchant Taylors County Cup round 3 – EGS lost by 45 runs
Happy Cricket Days!
Our Year 8 EGS Cricket Team played Mossbourne Academy in the County Cup match, Round 2. Although it was a really close game…..our team won. Happy cricket days!
Yesterday saw the first Cricket match of the season being played. Our EGS Year 10 team played against Avanti House from Harrow in the Middlesex Cup.
5 minutes after this photo was taken, it hailed!… cricket season has well and truly started!

A nice story to end the week on;
We are delighted to announce that one of our pupils, Archie Gubb along with his pony, Duke, has been selected for the England team in Mounted Games!
The Archie and Duke duo, members of the Pony Club, competed against 50 other children in a 4 hour trial and came out on top.
Fantastic achievement, Archie, and we wish you all the luck in the world for the future.
