Just before the end of term, some of our Year 10s took part in Stage 1 of  the schools Future Chef Competition.  A journey where they can learn new skills, link with industry chefs and explore the next steps in this industry – fun, challenging, exciting and rewarding.

Our 2 winners, Darrell and Jasraj now have the chance to go through to the Local Finals stage. Congratulations boys – great achievement!!

Real Life Role Models Visit EGS #BHM #mentors

Michael Duberry (old boy & ex pro-footballer) and DJ Spoony (friend of EGS & garage legend) came to EGS to talk about life, careers, choices, barriers, family, biases and racism, as part of Black History Month and Grammar’s ongoing drive to give hope and inspiration to all.

Mr Lamb took them for a coffee and bumped into Andy Cole (ex pro-footballer), as you do!

Thank you to Raymond Cathline, a school governor, who has been one of our leads in organising all our #BHM events.
