Our Y10 football team made it four Borough Cup wins for the school last week with an incredible come‑from‑behind 4–1 victory!

And they didn’t have long to wait for company… Yesterday, our Y7s delivered a brilliant performance of their own, winning their cup final 4–2!

That means 5 out of 5 Borough Cups this year — a clean sweep! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 EGS are officially Borough Champions across every age group!

Huge congratulations to all the boys who represented the school so brilliantly, and a massive thank‑you to our Sports Department for their hard work and support – definitely a reflection of our school motto :As Much As I Can’!

A Morning With The Mayor

What a lovely morning (16/04/26) spent with a group of students from Enfield Grammar School, who I first had the pleasure of meeting during their annual Black History Cultural Event last October.
A big thank you to Josiah Obeng, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Lead, for arranging their visit to the Mayor’s Parlour.
It was a real joy to hear their thoughtful questions about my journey to becoming Mayor, and to share some of my experiences and hopes for the future.
Their energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm truly made the visit special.
The students also had the chance to observe a Citizenship Ceremony, which takes place almost every week.
It gave them a glimpse into the more formal side of the role, including the Mayor’s opening address, and highlighted the proud history of Enfield Grammar School—founded in 1558 and still inspiring ambition, creativity, and excellence today.
It was a pleasure to spend time with the students and Mr Obeng.
Here’s to continuing to build strong community connections and supporting the next generation to thrive.

Last Day of Term – Non-Uniform Day!

Pupils will be dismissed at 12.15pm on the last day of term, Friday 27 March 2026

This will be a Non-School Uniform Day for all students, and we kindly ask for a voluntary donation of £2 in support of Comic Relief

  • Students who are eligible for Free School Meals will be able to collect a packed lunch from the dining halls on both sites from 12.15pm
  • Year 11 students will be offered a variety of revision sessions over the Easter break. Further details will be sent separately
  • Year 12 – Wednesday 25 March 2026 will be the final day of term due to the Year 12 University Fair taking place on Thursday 26 March
  • Year 13 – Thursday 26 March will be the last day of term

The Summer Term will begin on Monday 13 April at 8.30am

It will be Week 1 of the timetable

🏆 EGS Y9 Borough Cup Champions….. as well! ⚽

🏆 A huge congratulations to our Year 9 boys who have also secured the Borough Cup for the school!

In a thrilling final against local rivals St Ignatius, the match was decided on penalties, with our team holding their nerve to come out on top. The boys gave absolutely everything on the pitch, showing determination, resilience, and incredible teamwork throughout.

We are incredibly proud to announce that they are now Borough Champions! 👏⚽

Well done, lads — a fantastic achievement!
