THE SESSIONS ARE IN THE SPORTS HALL AT UPPER ON A WEDNESDAY FROM 3.30PM UNTIL 5PM.

We start this academic year off with Head of Geography, Mr Findlay who has chosen ‘So You’ve Been Publicly Shamed by Jon Ronson’.
This is a terrifying series of tales about people who have had their lives and reputations ruined by the modern day return of public shaming through the internet, social media and Twitter.
Jon Ronson interviews several people who have experienced this and delves into the reasons why being ‘tarred and feathered’ has made such a comeback.

As an under 18 you get to run the final 2.6km of the London Marathon course onto the Mall.
Park Run trials are being held on 11th & 18th September at Grovelands, Pymms Park, Gunpowder Park & Oak Hill Park.

Our Year 11s took part in the first session of ‘The Study Sensei – Guide To Success’ today presented by Elevate Education which proved to have a very positive impact on all the boys.
Learning study skills and revision techniques imperative for their progression towards their GCSEs next year.
Looking forward to session 2.

The test centre ran smoothly and efficiently, thanks again to our staff.
Benchmark interviews, inductions and photos all completed. Homework diaries/planners and timetables issued.

We hope you have all had some restful time over the summer break.
We, at EGS, are ready to welcome back our students and excited to meet all our new Year 7s.
Our return to school, having started today and continuing next week, comprises of inductions, benchmark meetings and our Covid-19 Test Centre which is in place to perform hundreds of tests helping to make our school environment a safe place to be in.
Our staff have just completed 2 full days of training and prepping together and there is a real ‘buzz’ of excitement, eagerness and motivation.
We can’t wait to see you all!
