**Virtual Parent/Carer Consultation Evenings – Dates & Info**

8th January 2021Mrs S Field

Our Parent/Carer Consultation Evenings will be held online this year.

Please see below for the dates. The first of these will be Year 11 on Thursday 14th January.

Appointments with teachers for Parent Evenings are made via our online booking system; SchoolCloud.

Prior to the date, you will receive an email/letter advising when the system is open to accept bookings for your year group.

Click the image below for the registration instructions;

Parents/Carers should also be aware that, when they input their name, including the salutation i.e. Ms, Mrs, etc it must be exactly the same as the information we hold for you on our SIMS system.

Please contact the School Office if you have any problems

Virtual / Online Consultation Evenings

For remote meetings you will need:

  • A device with a microphone and speaker/headphones
  • A compatible up-to-date browser:
iPhone/iPad: Safari (Note: there is a known issue joining video calls using any iOS 14.2 devices to iOS 14.3, or use and alternative device)
    Android: Chrome or Firefox
Windows: Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge (Chromium)
    Mac: Safari, Chrome or Firefox
    Linux: Chrome or Firefox

We recommend using your smartphone for video appointments. If you do not have a smartphone with a front facing camera, use a laptop or computer with a webcam and use a headset (or earphones with a microphone) to reduce echo.

We Are Now In Tier 5 – Lockdown……

5th January 2021Mrs S Field

As we are now in Tier 5, the school will be closed to all pupils, other than those of critical workers or those who have been invited in (pre-arranged with the school), until we are notified otherwise by Government.

We will be delivering the curriculum as ‘Blended Learning’ which is a mix of Live Online Lessons and Google Classrooms.

Students, please make sure you keep up to date with all your work (Google Classroom) and that you sign in to any online live lessons that are scheduled.

Click the link below to view the documents with your school work summaries (year groups 7 to 11):

January 2021 – Start of Term Arrangements – Phased Return

18th December 2020Mrs S Field
As you are no doubt aware the government has asked us to phase back secondary school students. Therefore, only Year 11 and 13 are to return as planned on Tuesday 5th January.
Year 10 and 12 may be invited back on Thursday 7th January if all resources and systems have been given to us. Please keep an eye on the website, social media and your inbox for updates.
Invited students, from all year groups, will also be attending from Tuesday 5th January and we will contact you directly if you son is to attend school on Monday 4th January.
All other students will follow their timetable at home throughout the first week including form time at 8.30, blended learning with live lessons and work on google classroom. At 3.05 there will be no form time as staff will be available either online or by email to address any concerns from the day and students can catch up any missed learning as a result of siblings sharing devices etc. All resources will be placed on google classroom so that students can catch up any missed lesson as a result of sharing devices, or any other reason.
This is the current advice but please do check all media channels on Monday 4th January as we are very aware this is a constantly evolving situation.
In Summary:

Come along and support our very own Mr Escott from the Music Department, who will be performing with his band Bazooka Joe. They’ll be joined by a special appearance from our talented students as part of the Cinematic Ensemble!

We’re proud to see our students sharing the stage and showcasing their musical talents in the community at tis free event. If you`re in the area, be sure to stop by and enjoy what promises to be a fantastic afternoon of live music and a great opportunity to support a local charity whilst enjoy a picnic in our beautiful Enfield parkland (weather permitting!)
