See you there!
As you know, the quiz evening is fast approaching and we would like to make the best out of this event for our school, we would like to ask if you or your business/employer are able to help in any of these ways? …. These are great responsible business initiatives!:
*1. RAFFLE DONATIONS*
Depending on the nature of the business, your company/employer may be willing to donate goods or services we could use as raffle prizes, which would effectively be good advertising for them. Examples could include vouchers for free treatment (manicure, facial, etc), meal for two, discount off products or services (e.g. free first consultation meeting, free assessment and estimate, etc), cash donations or products themselves. We will promote/share your kind donations our social media pages.
Please do reach out to your employer/consider whether your company could contribute and, if so, contact us ([email protected]).
*2. MATCH FUNDING*
Match funding involves an employer/company matching the money raised by employees for the benefit of a charity. The exact terms of how this works and any caps that apply to the money matched would be set out in each company’s own policy.
Please ask your employer whether they offer match funding. You can do this by sending your employer’s HR team an email (below is a template/draft email you can adapt to use for this):
Template/draft to send your employer asking about match funding:
Dear [NAME]
I am writing to ask whether [NAME OF EMPLOYER] offer “match funding” support to staff involved in charitable activities?
The parents’ association of my [child’s/children’s] school (Friends of Enfield Grammar School is a registered charity, number 269212) organises activities to raise much needed funds for the school and I am hoping to be involved in the next event.
I know that some employers engage in match funding (matching the money raised by a member of staff, which then goes to the charity) and wanted to ask if this is something the firm/company] does?
Kind regards
Please Note: You are welcome to bring your own snacks, but NO drinks are permitted, other than drinks purchased from the FEGS Bar. Please be reminded that the school has a ‘no nuts on the premises’ policy. This event has a ‘no refunds’ policy.
