Enfield Grammar School is delighted to congratulate the outgoing Year 11 cohort on their excellent GCSE attainment. We are particularly pleased that a record 74% of students have secured grades 4 and above in both English and Maths, a pivotal achievement in opening doors to future success.
We are incredibly proud of how hard our students have worked towards their outcomes, be it the strings of top grades achieved by many or the excellent progress which reflects huge personal success for others, particularly when achieved in the face of challenging personal circumstances. So many of our students have truly embodied our school motto of “Tant Que Je Puis” (“As much as I can”).
We are pleased to have begun enrolling both our own students and, now in our third year of accepting female applicants, we are offering a warm welcome to students from other schools. We have worked hard to make sure our Sixth Form offers students the very best chance of success:

We are delighted to report that Enfield Grammar School A-Level students have achieved the highest recorded value added result. Students have worked hard to secure excellent grades with 37% achieving A* – B grades and over 70% securing A* – C grades. These improved results means that over 70% of students secured their first choice for university admission.

GCSE Results Day Press Release 2022
Following two years of uncertainty and disruption to their learning, Enfield Grammar School’s Year 11 Class of 2022 celebrate their impressive results.
We are extremely proud of the achievements of all our students and these results are testament to the hard work of staff and students. As a school, we continually strive to ensure every student achieves their potential no matter what their starting point when they join us; our positive Progress 8 score demonstrates this.
73% of our boys achieved at least a Standard Pass in both English and Maths and 54% achieved at least a Strong Pass in both English and Maths. In addition, 66% of our boys achieved at least a Standard Pass in Combined Science, 74% achieved at least a Standard Pass in humanities subjects and 61% achieved at least a Standard Pass in Languages.
We look forward to welcoming a significant number of our 2022 Year 11 cohort into our Sixth Form, reaffirming the confidence they have in EGS as the place they want to be for their next step in their academic journey.

A-Level Results Day Press Release 2022
Enfield Grammar School A-Level students enjoyed another year of strong results in their sixth form programmes.
In addition to maintaining a strong value added score for another year (meaning that students who attend Enfield Grammar School make better progress than they would at other schools), we have increased our percentage of A-A* grades with 28% of all grades achieving this level. We also saw improvements in other grades areas, including; 52% of grades were graded A*-B and 76% of grades were calculated at A*-C. Students achieved an average point score of 35.26 for A-Level students with an average grade B across the cohort – this means that EGS students have the opportunity to study at the best universities across the country. Applied General qualifications were equally successful at Enfield Grammar School with an impressive average point score of 43.74 with an average grade of Merit.
24 students achieved an average A grade or better across all of their courses at Enfield Grammar School with many of our students gaining places at top universities and on higher apprenticeship schemes. 12 students achieved an individual value added score above plus one, which means that on average, they achieved a grade higher than expected in each of their subjects – this is especially impressive with nationally inflated GCSE CAGs.
All students have the option to enter their preferred route of career or further study. This ranges from University (85%), to Apprenticeships (7%) to scholarships (1%) and the ‘World of work’!

**2021 Press Release: GCSE Results
In a year of uncertainty and difficult circumstances, Enfield Grammar’s Year 11 Class of 2021 were celebrating their incredibly impressive results.
We are extremely proud of the achievements of all our students and these results are testament to the hard work of staff and students. As a school, we continually strive to ensure every student achieves their potential no matter what their starting point when they join us.
On benchmark data, 84% of our boys achieved at least a Standard Pass in both English and Maths and 64% achieved at least a Strong Pass in both English and Maths. In addition, 86% of our boys achieved at least a Standard Pass in Combined Science, 79% achieved at least a Standard Pass in humanities subjects and 83% achieved at least a Standard Pass in Languages.
It is extremely satisfying and pleasing that a majority of our Year 11 cohort will be with us in September studying the courses of their choice in our Sixth Form, confirming the confidence they have in their school as the place they want to be for their next step in their academic journey.

Enfield Grammar School Year 13 students enjoyed another record year and celebrated very strong results in their sixth form programmes for both A-level and Btec qualifications. We are incredibly proud of the achievements of all our students; including our collegiate students from Enfield County School.
This has been another year of uncertainty and difficult circumstances and these results are testament to the hard work of EGS staff and students. We continually strive to ensure every student is able to give ‘As much as he can’ no matter what his starting point when they joins us; this mantra and EGS staff have served our students well.
In addition to increasing our positive value added score for another year to 0.54 (meaning that students who attend Enfield Grammar School make on average half a grade better progress than they would at other schools),we have also superseded our high percentage of A-A* with 26% of all grades. 53% of grades were graded A*-B. 84% of grades were calculated at A*-C with an average point score of 36.61 for A-Level subjects.
10% of students achieved all A grades or better in their courses at Enfield Grammar School with many of our students gaining places at top universities and on higher apprenticeship schemes. 25% of students achieved an individual value added score above plus one, which means that on average, they achieved a grade higher than expected in each of their subjects.
The vast majority of students have entered their preferred route of career or further study, ranging from University, to Apprenticeships, employment and other academic scholarships.

The government has said that many exams and assessments cannot be held fairly this year
as a result of the disruption students have faced due to the pandemic.
Teachers will instead submit grades to the exam boards, based on their assessment of
what you have shown you know and can do, enabling you to progress to the next stage of
your education, training, or employment.

Progress 8 is a new measure of school performance (Department for Education). It replaces the previous measure of 5A*-C including English and maths, and shows how well pupils of all abilities have progressed, compared to pupils with similar academic starting points in other schools.

In addition to maintaining our positive value added score for another year (meaning that students who attend Enfield Grammar School make better progress than they would at other schools), we have also maintained our high percentage of A-A* with an 17% of all grades.
- 40% of grades were graded A*-B
- 69% of grades were calculated at A*-C with an average point score of 30.63 for A-Level students
- Technical qualifications were successfully introduced to Enfield Grammar School with an impressive average point score of 31.67
- 11 students achieved at least A grades or better in their courses at Enfield Grammar School with many of our students gaining places at top universities and on higher apprenticeship schemes
- 14 students achieved an individual value added score above plus one, which means that on average, they achieved a grade higher than expected in each of their subjects.
All students have accepted or have been given the option to enter Higher Education, Apprenticeships or the world of work.
