On Wednesday, 15th January 2025, our Year 10 participants took part in a space workshop on asteroids, led by the National Space Academy. The event was a resounding success, with students fully engaged in both learning and hands-on activities.
From the interactive discussions to the practical sessions, it was inspiring to see how actively the students participated. Many of them were fully immersed in the hands-on activities, showcasing their curiosity and eagerness to learn. The practicals, expertly guided by the National Space Academy team, not only reinforced key concepts but also made the complexities of space engineering and asteroid science accessible and exciting.
What stood out most was how the workshop broadened the students’ perspectives on potential careers in space engineering. Several students expressed newfound inspiration, with some sharing how the experience had sparked their interest in pursuing paths within the aerospace and space technology sectors.
The workshop has undoubtedly made a lasting impression, widening horizons and planting seeds of ambition among our Year 10 students.
