As a school, we are encouraging and inviting EGS students to look at the Kooth tool.
Kooth is a free online counselling and emotional well-being support service for young people. It is a safe, secure and anonymous means of accessing support with their emotional health and wellbeing needs from a professional team of qualified counsellors.
Kooth has been approved by the NHS North Central London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) for all young people in Enfield.
Kooth ensures that young people have access to a range of mental health and wellbeing services at this difficult time, while also supporting schools as part of their ongoing wellbeing plans for students.
Kooth operates out of hours service weekdays from 12 -10 pm and the weekend from 6pm to 10 pm 365 days a year. Kooth is available free to Enfield Young people aged 11-18 (up to 19th birthday).
We will be introducing the service throughout the week and will be updating carers through social media posts, the schools website, through school correspondences and via literature distributed at any face-to-face work at school.

InvestIN is calling upon all students aged 12-18 to enter The Young Innovators Challenge. The winner will be awarded £50 of Amazon vouchers and a complimentary place on any of our Autumn Term career experience programmes.
Submit your boldest innovation. It must: – Have a name – Be in the form of a short video or piece of text – Explain: what it is, what it solves, how it works, why it’s important to you.

This week, Mr Wragg has launched the EGS 6th Form Book Club Challenge, hoping to expand some of the texts our boys read, develop their literary cultural capital and increase their reading for pleasure.
