Recently, some Year 12 A-level science students were privileged to visit University College London, one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary universities who provide a huge range of high ranked Science courses.
During their visit, these students were fortunate enough to experience a day in the life of a student at UCL experiencing various sessions such as;
- A lecture based on the introduction into Neuroscience by a leading Professor in this faculty who is also part of the admissions team
- An insight into the lab where the scientists do research on fruit flies with new findings including treatment of some of the worlds biggest diseases and disorders
- The opportunity to extract DNA with one of the highly skilled molecular biology and gene therapy pHD professors inside one of the UCL laboratories
These visits and drop-ins to lessons provide our students with a real taste of the next steps they could be taking in their further education journey, igniting their passion for their future and showing them how it can become achievable.
Thank you for being so welcoming UCL!
