On Thursday 5th July, a group of students from Enfield Grammar School’s Gardening Club ran a stall in Enfield Town Market. The sale day was part of the ‘School Food Matters’ national initiative to encourage students to ‘grow their own’.  The project aims to give secondary school students an opportunity to harvest and sell their own produce, stimulating an interest in food and an appreciation for the environment.

The boys sold herbs, salad, flowers and vegetables that they have been nurturing since April, raising a total sum of £88.60.   They would like to thank all the members of staff, parents and members of the public that kindly supported their stall.

A HUGE thank you to Rebeckah Turbett who has run the gardening club this year. Her expertise and commitment has been greatly appreciated by boys and staff.
