Enfield Grammar School are excited to announce the launch of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards  programme in school –  September 2021. This first year, we are enrolling a cohort from our Year 10 group of students to participate in the Bronze stage.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award (commonly abbreviated DofE) is a youth awards programme founded in the United Kingdom in 1956 by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, that has since expanded to 144 nations. The programme involves helping the community/environment, becoming fitter, developing new skills, planning, training for and completing an expedition and, for Gold only, working with a team on a residential activity. Any young person can do their DofE – regardless of ability, gender, background or location. For further information, visit: Duke of Edinburgh Awards – DofE
